  1. 1 c Dried chickpeas; soaked in

  2. 5 c -Water for 

  3. 24 hours

  4. 1 ts Baking soda

  5. 1 ts Salt

  6. 1/2 c Finely minced onion

  7. 2 tb Finely minced parsley

  8. 1 ts Ground cumin

  9. 1 ts Ground coriander

  10. 2 Garlic cloves; finely minced

  11. 1 tb Lemon juice

  12. 1 ds Black pepper

  1. Drain the chickpeas well and place them and other ingredients in a food processor. Process until the mixture is of the consistency of coarse corn meal. Form into patties and fry.
