    5. 2 egg whites

    6. 1/8 ts salt

    7. 1/8 ts cream of tartar

    8. 1 ts vanilla

    9. 3/4 c sugar

    10. 1 1/2 c coconut, sweetened

    11. Place wax paper on cookie sheets. Beat the first 3 ingredients with

    12. electric mixer until soft peaks form. Beat in the vanilla and sugar until

    13. 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let

    14. cool before removing from cookie sheets.

    15. (These are good at Christmas--I sprinkle some colored sugar on before I
