  1. 3 lbs 1362g / 48oz Lean beef stew meat cut into 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  2. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Pepper

  3. 2 teaspoons 10ml Onions thinly sliced (medium)

  4. 1 Mushrooms - (or pieces) un-drained

  5. 1 Dark beer

  6. 1 tablespoon 15ml Vinegar

  7. 2 Beef bouillon cubes

  8. 2 teaspoons 10ml Sugar

  9. 2 Garlic - minced

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Thyme

  11. 2 Bay leaves

  1. Recipe Instructions Preparation: Put the beef in the crock pot. Combine all the other ingredients and pour over the beef. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Before serving thicken juices if desired. Joyce says she uses some flour or corn starch to do this.
