  5. --TAMALE PIE--

  6. 1 c Cornmeal

  7. 1 c Milk

  8. 1 16 oz can whole kernal corn

  9. 1 lb Lean ground beef

  10. 1 16 oz can of diced tomatoes

  11. 2 tb Chili powder

  12. 1 ts Salt

  13. 1/2 c Melted butter or margarine

  14. 2 Eggs--beaten

  15. --SAUCE--

  16. 1 cn Tomato soup

  17. 1/4 c Butter or margarine--melted

  18. 1 tb Chili powder

  19. Tamale Pie Stir ingredients together in the order given above. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Bake uncovered at

  20. 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until solid, dry and golden brown.

  21. Sauce Blend ingredients together with a wire wisk.

  22. Serve with sauce over top of individual servings.

  23. OPTIONS Can be cooked in a microwave on high for approximately 20 minutes.

  24. One half of mixed Tamale Pie ingredients may be frozen for baking at a

  25. later date.
