  2. Title: MOCK LOBSTER

  3. Categories: Main dish, Jewish, Seafood

  4. Yield: 10 servings

  5. 2 lb Haddock; fillet

  6. Tomato juice; or V8/to cover

  7. 1/2 c Chili sauce

  8. 1/2 c Horseradish; prepared

  9. 1/4 c Sour cream

  10. 1. Poach fish in tomato juice to cover with spices of

  11. your choice or in V8. Simmer until fish flakes.

  12. 2. Mix the other ingredients together to make the

  13. sauce and adjust for YOUR taste. Add the sauce to the

  14. fish, making sure it is not too thick. It should look

  15. like lobster salad and you can use diced celery and/or onion.

  16. NOTE: In the 50's whenever you went to a luncheon at

  17. the Temple it seems that this was the dish of choice.

  18. I guess we were trying to prove we could have

  19. 'lobster' and be kosher too, <GRIN>!!! Anyway it is

  20. quite good. If you have a favorite lobster or shrimp

  21. salad; you could just substitute the fish. Back in

  22. those days it was cheaper...now who knows???
