  2. 1 pound mushrooms (white and shiitake), chopped roughly

  3. water, as needed

  4. whole wheat flour soy sauce 1/2 - 1 tsp salt

  5. Herbs of your choice (I usually use basil, marjoram, thyme)

  6. In a large pan add a couple tablespoons of water and the mushrooms,

  7. and heat on medium. Let the mushrooms cook for about 8 or so

  8. minutes until most of the water has cooked out. Add herbs. Slowly

  9. add flour and water, stirring constantly as to avoid lumps. When

  10. it has become the consistency you like, add salt and soy sauce.

  11. Pepper is optional.

  12. This tastes great over plain brown rice.
