  1. 1 Corned beef brisket - (3-4 lb. )

  2. 12 Peppercorns

  3. 4 Bay leaves

  4. 3 Garlic - minced

  5. 2 Cinnamon stick - (3 inches) broken

  6. 1 tablespoon 15ml Red pepper flakes Sandwich buns Glaze

  7. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Packed brown sugar

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground cloves

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground ginger

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Dry mustard

  11. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Celery seeds

  12. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Caraway seeds

  1. Recipe Instructions Place corned beef with seasoning packet in Dutch oven; cove with water. Add seasonings and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 4-4 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Drain, discarding juices; blot brisket dry. In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients. Rub onto top of warm meat. Grill or broil for 5-10 minutes on each side until glazed. Slice meat and serve warm or chilled on buns.
