  1. 1 Squash; acorn

  2. 1/4 c Butter

  3. 1/2 c Cranberries

  4. 1/4 c Sugar; brown packed

  5. 1/2 c Apple; finely chopped

  6. 1 ts Cornstarch

  7. 2 tsp Water; cold

  1. Cut unpeeled squash into 1/4 rings with sharp knife.

  2. Remove and discard seeds.

  3. Place in shallow dish & set aside.

  4. In 4 cup measure cook butter at High 30-45 seconds or till melted.

  5. Stir in cranberries and brown sugar.

  6. Cook, uncovered plastic wrap at High 2-3 min or till skins have popped, stirring once.

  7. Stir in apple; spoon in each ring.

  8. Cover and cook at High 5-7 min or till tender.

  9. Drain juice with 1 cup measure.

  10. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water, whisk into juices.

  11. Cook at High 30-45 seconds till thickened.

  12. Pour over rings.
