  1. 1 1/2 cup(s) boiling water

  2. 1 package(s) (6-oz.) Jell-O gelatin , orange flavor 1 cup(s) cold water

  3. 1 can(s) (11-oz.) mandarin orange segments , drained 8 ounce(s) (frozen) whipped topping , thawed

  1. Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes, until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Place orange segments in a 6-cup mold lightly coated with cooking spray; spoon 2 cups gelatin mixture into mold over oranges. Refrigerate about 30 minutes, or until set but not firm (it should stick to a finger).

  2. Meanwhile, refrigerate remaining gelatin mixture for 20 to 30 minutes, or until slightly thickened (to the consistency of unbeaten egg whites). Using a wire whisk, stir in two-thirds of the whipped topping until well blended. Pour over gelatin layer in mold.

  3. Refrigerate 4 hours, or until firm. Unmold, and serve with remaining whipped topping. Store leftover gelatin mold in refrigerator.
