  5. Crisco single crust/9 inch

  6. Filling:

  7. 1/2 c Granulated sugar

  8. 1/4 c Firmly-packed brown sugar

  9. 1/4 c All-purpose flour

  10. 2 tb Cornstarch

  11. 1/4 ts Salt

  12. 3 c Milk

  13. 1/2 c Peanut butter chips

  14. 4 Egg yolks

  15. 3 tb Golden crisco shortening

  16. 1 1/2 ts Vanilla

  17. 1 c Chocolate covered peanuts;

  18. -chopped

  19. 1. For crust, prepare and bake Crisco Single Crust. Cool

  20. completely. Heat oven to 350F (180C).

  21. 2. For filling, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar,

  22. flour, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. Add milk and peanut

  23. butter chips gradually. Cook and stir on medium heat until

  24. mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Reduce heat. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  25. 3. Beat egg yolks lightly in small bowl. Stir 1 cup hot

  26. mixture slowly into yolks, mixing thoroughly. Return

  27. mixture to saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir on low

  28. heat 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour mixture into baked pie crust.

  29. 4. Bake at 350F (180C) for 12 minutes. Sprinkle with

  30. chocolate covered peanuts immediately. Cool to room

  31. temperature before serving. Refrigerate leftover pie. --
