  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml All-purpose flour

  4. 1/2 cup 118ml Chicken broth

  5. 1/2 cup 118ml Half-and-half

  6. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  7. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml White pepper

  8. 1 Ground thyme

  1. Recipe Instructions 1. Melt butter in a 1-quart glass measuring pitcher in microwave oven (about 30 seconds at High).

  2. Add onion and flour; mix well. Add broth and half-and-half gradually, stirring constantly.

  3. Cook uncovered 5 minutes at High, or until thickened; stir after 2 minutes, then every 30 seconds.

  4. Remove from oven; stir in seasonings. Yield: About 1 cup.
