  7. 4 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon unsalted butter

  8. 1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour

  9. 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

  10. 1 teaspoon baking powder

  11. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  12. 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, broken into 1/2 oun

  13. 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, broken into 1/2 ounce

  14. 3 eggs

  15. 1 cup granulated sugar

  16. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  17. 1/4 cup sour cream

  18. Butter and flour a square baking pan. Sift together dry ingredients.

  19. Melt butter in a double boiler; add chocolate and melt. Beat together

  20. eggs, sugar and vanilla. Stir in chocolate mixture until well combined.

  21. Add dry ingredients. Add sour cream.

  22. Place batter in prepared pan and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes.

  24. Macadamia chocolate chunk

  25. Add 4 ounces semisweet chocolate (cut into 1/4 inch chunks) to the

  26. batter. Add another four ounces semisweet chocolate to the top, along

  27. 1 1/2 cups raw, unsalted macadamia nuts. Add

  28. 10-15 minutes to the

  29. cooking time.

  30. Peanut-Raisin

  31. 1 1/2 cups raisins to the batter. Spread

  32. 1 1/2 cups unsalted peanuts on

  33. top. Add 10-15 minutes to the cooking time.

  34. Hazelnut Brownie Cake

  35. 1 recipe of the basic brownie into a 9-inch cake pan, and bake as

  36. directed above.

  37. 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

  38. 12 ounces semisweet chocolate

  39. 1 cup chopped, toasted hazelnuts

  40. In a double boiler, melt chocolate into boiling cream to form a ganache.

  41. 1 cup of ganache over

  42. 1 cup chopped hazelnuts. Cut cake in half and spread hazelnut-ganache mixture in between the layers. Pour plain

  43. ganache over cake as an icing. Pipe ganache which has been refrigerated

  44. for 10-15 minutes onto the cake in the form of stars as decoration. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
