  1. 1 2/3 cups milk

  2. 2 tablespoons shortening

  3. 2 tablespoons sugar

  4. 2 teaspoons salt

  5. 4 1/3 cups white flour

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast **GLAZE**

  7. 1 egg -- beaten

  8. 1 tablespoon water

  1. Preparation : measure ingredients in order in bread machine or according to your manufactures directions. Select dough setting. When dough is finished shape into desired sized rolls. Brush with glaze after rising in pan for 30 minutes and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Variations: Sometimes I sprinkle with sesame seeds or dust lightly with paprika. I also will chop onion and sprinkle on top of rolls before rising. you can also use chopped jalapeno's and or cheese. Just use your imaginatio
