  1. 3 cups chicken broth

  2. 2 cups diced potato es

  3. 1 cup carrot s, diced

  4. 1 cup diced celery

  5. 1/2 cup diced onion

  6. 1 1/2 tsp salt

  7. 1/4 tsp pepper

  8. 1/4 cup butter

  9. 1/3 cup flour

  10. 2 cups milk

  11. 2 cups shredded cheese , sharp

  12. 2 cups diced, cooked chicken

  1. In 4 quart saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Reduce heat, add potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until vegetable are tender. Meanwhile, melt the butter, add flour and mix well. Gradually add milk and cook over low heat until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted. Add to broth along with the chicken. Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through.
