  1. 3 c all purpose flour

  2. 1 ts salt

  3. 1 tb sugar

  4. 1 tb baking powder

  5. 1 c buttermilk

  6. 1 lg egg

  7. 1 tb sage; chopped finely

  8. 2 cloves garlic; finely minced

  1. Directions: Combine the dry ingredients and stir in the liquid ingredients.

  2. Add the sage and garlic. Mix until a stiff dough develops. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly. Pat or roll the dough into a form that is about 1/2-inch thick. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated 425 oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp.
