  1. 1 baked pie crust shell

  2. 1 quart fresh strawberries

  3. 1 c. sugar

  4. 3 tbsp. cornstarch

  5. Few drops red food coloring

  1. Bake and cool pie crust shell. Wash and hull fresh strawberries. Cut up 1 cup berries. Mix sugar and cornstarch in a 2 quart saucepan. Stir in 1 cup water gradually until smooth. Add cut – up berries. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and clear. Stir in a few drops of red food coloring; cool. Stir in remaining berries, pour into baked pie shell. Chill until firm, top with whipped cream or any whipped topping.
