  2. 4 Parsnips - trimmed, peeled, (medium) And diced

  3. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  4. 3 tablespoons 45ml Buttermilk

  5. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Ground cardamom

  6. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Table salt - or to taste

  7. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Freshly-ground black pepper - or to taste

  1. Recipe Instructions Combine pears and parsnips in a small pot; add 1/4 cup of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and cook until parsnips are very tender, about 15 minutes; drain off any liquid. Place pears and parsnips in a blender or food processor fitted with a steel blade. Add remaining ingredients and process until mixture is lightly pureed.
