  1. 6 slices bacon, cooked

  2. 6 ounces thinly sliced Gruyere cheese

  3. 1 9-inch pie shell, half baked

  4. 2 cups heavy cream

  5. 4 large eggs salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste butter

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Arrange the bacon and cheese in the bottom of the pie shell. In a 2-quart bowl, beat the cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well mixed. Pour into the shell and dot with butter. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
