  1. 2 tablespoons 30ml Butter

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Onion - diced very fine (medium)

  3. 2 cups 320g / 11oz Long-grain white rice

  4. 1/4 lb 113g / 4oz Mushrooms - sliced

  5. 3 1/2 cups 829ml Beef broth

  1. Melt the butter in a large saute pan or skillet. Add the onion and rice, stirring until golden brown in color. Stir in the mushrooms, and then the beef broth. Cover.

  2. Bring to a boil and lower the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 20 minutes or until all the broth is absorbed.

  3. This recipe yields 6 side dish servings.
