  1. 4 cups uncooked long-grain rice

  2. 2 tbsp. instant vegetarian bouillon

  3. 2 tsp. salt

  4. 4 tsp. celery flakes

  5. 4 tsp. onion flakes

  6. 4 tsp. green pepper flakes

  7. 4 tsp. red pepper flakes

  8. 1 1/2 cups mixture each into three

  9. 1 pint airtight containers. Label. Store in a cool, dry place. Mix should be used within

  10. 6-8 months, so if jar is filled far in advance of "giving," adjust the storage time on the attached instruction card. Makes about 4 1/2 cups of Veggie Rice Mix.

  11. Attach the following instructions on a card:

  12. Vegetarian Rice

  13. 1 1/2 cups Veggie Rice Mix

  14. 2 cups cold water

  15. 1 tbsp. butter or margarine

  16. 15 minutes, until liquid is absorbed. Makes

  17. 4-6 servings.

  18. Note: Mix should be used within 6 months.
