  1. Dried fruits, cut in half horizontally: Calmyra figs Jordan dates, pitted Apricots Small pieces of Wisconsin cheese, at room temperature: Smoked Edam Smoked Swiss Smoked Cheddar Blue cheese

  1. On each opened half of fruit, place a nugget of cheese. Arrange on an oven-proof serving plate. Broil very close to heat until the cheese starts to melt but not ooze off the fruit. Serve immediately.
