  1. 8 small skinned chicken breasts

  2. 150 g, sliced

  3. 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

  4. 1 cube MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Bouillon

  5. For the sauce:

  6. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  7. 1 medium onion or 150 g, finely chopped

  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

  9. 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  10. 1/2 teaspoon dried lime powder

  11. 1/2 teaspoon ground saffron

  12. 1/2 tablespoon plain flour

  13. 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  14. 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Bouillon

  15. 2 cups water or 500 ml

  16. 4 prunes, semi-dried, pitted

  1. Place chicken breasts in a large saucepan and cover them with enough water. Add onion, turmeric and MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Bouillon cube. Bring to boil and cook for 35 minutes or until chicken is cooked.

  2. Remove chicken pieces from water, set aside to dry then pan fry it gently with little oil on both sides until they become golden brown. Set aside and keep warm.

  3. Meanwhile prepare the sauce: heat oil in a large saucepan, cook onions for 6 minutes until golden, add spices, flour and tomato paste. Keep stirring for 2 minutes.

  4. Add MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Bouillon cubes and water. Bring to boil then simmer for 15 minutes. Add prunes and simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. To serve: place chicken in a serving dish, spoon sauce over chicken and serve with cooked rice.
