  1. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Oats - rolled (raw)

  2. 1/2 cup 31g / 1.1oz Flour - sifted

  3. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Brown sugar

  4. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Cinnamon

  6. 1/2 Butter or margarine - melted

  7. 4 cups 948ml Apples or apricots or rhubarb - sliced

  1. Recipe Instructions Preheat oven to 350F. Combine rolled oats, flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add melted butter to oatmeal mixture and mix with a fork or pastry blender until well blended. Butter bottom and sides of a 8x8x2 glass baking dish. Arrange fresh fruit in the bottom of the dish and spread oatmeal mixture on top of fruit. Bake until fruit is tender and crust is brown, about 30 minutes. May be served with milk, cream, whipped cream or ice cream.
