  1. 2 cups water

  2. 1 cup white wine

  3. 1 tablespoon pickling spice

  4. 1 lemon, sliced

  5. 1 tablespoon salt

  6. 16 medium fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

  7. 4 cups ice

  8. 9 ounces gin

  9. 2 ounces vermouth

  1. Preparation : In a sauce pot bring the water, wine, pickling spice, sliced lemon, and salt to a boil. Add shrimp and stir. Cook 1 minute then add ice. Let cool. Strain the liquid from the shrimp and sprinkle 1 ounce of gin over shrimp. Let sit 30 minutes. Mix martinis with remaining gin and vermouth. Pour into glasses and garnish with 2 shrimp on skewers.
