Nut Cookie Crust

    1. 1/2 cup butter, softened

    2. 1/3 cup brown sugar

    3. 1-1/4 cups flour

    4. 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts

    5. 1/8 tsp. salt

    6. 1/4 tsp. baking soda

    1. Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add remaining ingredients until crumbly. Press crumbs against bottom and sides of 9" pie place, building up a 1/2" rim. Fill with desired filling and bake as directed in pie recipes.

    2. Or you can bake the crust by first pricking it with a fork, then baking at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes until light golden brown and set.
