  1. 1 c Margarine

  2. 1 c Dr. pepper

  3. 4 tb Cocoa

  4. 1 1/2 ts Cinnamon

  5. 1/2 ts Salt

  6. 2 c Sugar

  7. 2 Eggs; beaten

  8. 1/2 c Buttermilk

  9. 2 ts Vanilla

  10. 1 ts Soda

  11. 2 c All-purpose flour

  12. --frosting- 1/2 c Margarine

  13. 1/4 c Dr. pepper

  14. 3 tb Cocoa

  15. 3 c Powdered sugar (about)

  16. 1/2 c Nuts

  17. 1 ts Vanilla

  18. 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until cake tests done. About 5 minutes before the cake is done, start the frosting by heating together the margarine, cocoa and Dr. Pepper. Then stir in the nuts, vanilla and powdered sugar. Blend smooth. Spread evenly on the cake as soon as it is removed from the oven and is hot. This recipe makes very good cupcakes (about 36).
