  2. ONION LOVER'S TWIST

  7. 1 pk Dry yeast

  8. 1/4 c Warm water

  9. 4 c Flour

  10. 1/4 c Sugar

  11. 1 1/2 ts Salt

  12. 1/2 c Hot water

  13. 1/2 c Milk

  14. 1/4 c Softened butter or margarine

  15. 1 Egg

  16. Filling:

  17. 1/4 c Butter or margarine

  18. 1 c Finely chopped onion

  19. -cup instant minced

  20. Onions)

  21. 1 tb Grated Parmesan cheese

  22. 1 tb Sesame or poppy seed

  23. 1/4 ts Garlic powder

  24. 3/4 ts Salt

  25. 1 t Paprika

  26. Grease cookie sheet. In large bowl dissolve yeast in

  27. warm water. Add 2 cups flour, sugar, salt, water,

  28. milk, butter and egg. With electric mixer, blend at

  29. low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium

  30. speed. By hand, stir in remaining flour to form a soft

  31. dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place until light

  32. 45 to 60 minutes.

  33. To prepare filling, melt butter in saucepan and add

  34. remaining ingredients.

  35. When dough has doubled in size stir down and place on

  36. a floured board. Knead until no longer sticky. Roll

  37. out to an 18x12-inch rectangle. Spread with filling,

  38. then cut lengthwise into three 18x4-inch strips.

  39. Beginning with the 18-inch side, roll up each strip.

  40. Seal edges and ends. On the prepared cookie sheet

  41. braid the three rolls together. cover and allow to

  42. 45 to 60 minutes. Bake at

  43. 350 F for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.

  44. Serve warm or cool.

  45. 2 small loaves, cut the

  46. 3 filled rolls

  47. in half crosswise before braiding. Braid each set of

  48. rolls separately on greased cookie sheet; bake as

  49. directed.
