    1. 4 medium green tomatoes, sliced

    2. 1/2 inch thick

    3. 1 teaspoon salt

    4. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

    5. 1 teaspoon dillweed

    6. 1 cup cornmeal

    7. Fat for frying

    1. Wash and prepare tomatoes.

    2. Mix seasonings with cornmeal in pie plate.

    3. Batter each tomato slice; be sure both sides are coated.

    4. Heat fat to 375 °F in medium skillet.

    5. Cook tomatoes until brown on both sides; drain on paper towels.
