  1. Onion soup mix envelope 1

  2. Tomato juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)

  3. Dry bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)

  4. Shredded cheese 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)

  5. Eggs 2 , beaten

  6. 1 tsp pizza seasoning, optional

  7. Ground chuck 1 1/2 Pound

  8. 1 cup crushed cereal flakes or potato chips

  9. 6 or 7 scraped carrots

  10. 6 or 7 small peeled onions

  11. Potatoes 14 Small , scrubbed

  12. 1/2 cup melted margarine or beef dripping

  1. Directions Combine the first seven ingredients.

  2. Mix well.

  3. Shape into an oval with wet hands and roll the meat shape in the crushed flakes.

  4. Centre in a large greased bake dish or covered roast pan.

  5. Dry prepared vegetables and toss with the fat.

  6. Arrange around the loaf.

  7. Sprinkle with salt.

  8. Cover and bake at 350F for 45 minutes.

  9. Uncover and bake 35 minutes turning the vegetables once.

  10. If you wish brush meat loaf with ketchup.

  11. Serve with an Italian style salad of lettuce, green pepper, tomatoes and chives.
