  1. 4 Veal or lamb shanks

  2. Well seasoned flour

  3. 1 Garlic - minced

  4. 3 tablespoons 45ml Olive oil

  5. 1 cup 237ml Canned consomme

  6. 1/4 cup 59ml Dry white wine

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Tomato paste

  8. 1 Lemon - cut into strips , rind of

  9. 3 Carrots - finely diced (small)

  10. 1 tablespoon 15ml Parsley - chopped

  11. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Dried marjoram - crushed

  12. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Dried oregano - crushed

  13. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Dried sage - crushed

Instructions Jump to Ingredients ↑

  1. Roll shanks in flour; brown with garlic in hot oil in skillet. Add remaining ingredients to crockpot. Stir to mix. Add shanks.

  2. Cover pot and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours until shanks are tender.

  3. Garnish with parsley. Serve with pasta.
