  1. 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

  2. 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened

  3. 2/3 cup NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Baking Cocoa

  4. 2 large eggs

  5. 1 large egg white

  6. 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  9. 2/3 cup NESTLÉ CARNATION Evaporated Milk

  10. 1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts

  11. Creamy Chocolate Icing (recipe follows)

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

  2. Combine sugar, butter, cocoa, eggs, egg white, vanilla and salt in a large mixer bowl; beat until light and fluffy. Alternately beat in flour and evaporated milk just until blended. Fold in nuts. Spread into prepared baking pan.

  3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Frost with Creamy Chocolate Icing.
