  2. 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled,

  4. 4 Fresh red chilies

  8. 1/3 c Cider vinegar

  9. 8 Cloves garlic, minced

  10. 1 c Water

  11. 1 tb Chopped fresh marjoram

  12. 1/2 c Toasted pine nuts

  1. To prepare the chutney, place apples and chilies in a heavy saucepan withsugar, vinegar, garlic and water. Bring to boiling over medium heat, lowerthe heat, partially cover the pan and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30minutes.

  2. Stir in marjoram and add pine nuts. Allow to cool, then refrigerate. Usewithin a few days.

  3. Makes about two cups.
