  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Asparagus

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Salad oil

  3. 1 Garlic - minced or pressed

  4. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Grated fresh ginger - up to

  5. 2 tablespoons 30ml Water

  1. Snap off and discard tough ends of asparagus, then cut spears into 1/4 inch slanting slices.

  2. Place wok over high heat; when wok is hot, add oil.

  3. When oil begins to heat, add garlic and ginger and stir once; then add asparagus and stir-fry for 1 minute.

  4. Add water; cover and cook until asparagus is tender-crisp to bite (2 to 3 minutes).
