  1. 1/2 cup Butter

  2. 1 cup Brown Sugar

  3. 2 tsp Corn Syrup

  4. 1 8-9" Round Loaf of Rich Bread

  5. 5 Large Eggs

  6. 1 1/2 cup Half & Half Cream

  7. 1 tsp Vanilla

  8. 2 tsp Grand Marnier

  9. 1/4 tsp Salt

  1. In a small saucepan, mel tbutter with brown sufar an dcorn syrup over medium heat, stirring until smooth and pour into a 9x13 pan. Cut 6 large slices of bread and save the ends of bread for another use. Arrange bread in bottom of pan, squeezing to fit. In a bowl, whisk together, eggs, half adn half, vanilla, Grand Marnier and salt until combined well. Pour evenly over bread. Chill mixture, covered in fridge overnight andup to 24 hours. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bring bread to room temperature. Bake bread mixture, uncovered in middle of oven until puffed and edges are pale golden or 35-40 minutes. Serve with real maple syrup.

  2. These overnight breakfast casseroles were as much as a part of holidays for us as the huge dinner. It was so nice to waking up in the morning with a houseful and just have to put on the coffee and put breakfast in the oven. Just add some bacon, or ham or fruit and your breakfast is complete. Yum!
