  1. 6 large cabbage leaves

  2. 2 cups rice cooked

  3. 1/2 pound sausage meat

  4. 2 tablespoons onion finely chopped

  5. 1 x salt and black pepper to taste

  6. 2 cups sauerkraut

  7. 1 each pork hocks smoked

  8. 1 x paprika

  9. 1 x sour cream dairy*

  1. Cook cabbage leaves in small amount of boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes.

  2. Drain and dry on paper towels.

  3. Mix rice, sausage meat, onion, salt, and pepper.

  4. Fill and roll the cabbage leaves. Place half of sauerkraut in a skillet.

  5. Top with cabbage rolls and pork hock. Cover with remaining sauerkraut.

  6. Add enough water to cover and simmer for 2 hours, adding more water when needed.

  7. Sprinkle with paprika and serve with sour cream.
