    4. tsp baking powder

    5. 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger

    6. 1 tsp ground cinnamon

    7. tsp freshly grated nutmeg

    8. Pinch of salt

    9. 100g unsalted butter, chilled and diced

    10. 75g light muscovado or light brown soft sugar

    11. 500g royal icing sugar

    12. 75100ml cold water

    13. or 500g icing sugar

    14. 2 large egg whites

    15. Green, black and orange food colouring pastes

    16. Orange sanding sugar
