  1. 1 pie crust shell

  2. 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate

  3. 1/2 c. butter

  4. 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar

  5. 1/4 c. water

  6. 2 eggs, separated

  7. 1 tsp. vanilla

  8. 1/3 c. all-purpose flour

  9. 1/4 tsp. salt

  10. 3/4 c. chopped pecans

  11. 1 pt. whipping cream or whipped topping

  1. Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 350 degrees. In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate and butter, cool slightly. Mix together water, eggs and vanilla. Stir into chocolate mixture. Fold in flour and salt. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into chocolate mixture. Stir in pecans. Spread in pie shell. Bake in 350 degree oven about 30 minutes. Cool completely. Top with whipped cream or whipped topping.
