  1. 2 1/2c Flour

  2. 1 ts Cream of tartar

  3. 1 1/2c Confectioners sugar

  4. 1 9 oz box Nonesuch mincemeat

  5. 1 ts Vanilla

  6. 1 ts Baking soda

  7. 1 c Butter, softened

  8. 1 Egg

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Combine flour, soda, and cream of tartar.

  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

  4. Add egg.

  5. Stir in vanilla and crumbled mincemeat.

  6. Add dry ingredients.

  7. Mix well-batter will be stiff.

  8. Roll into 1 1/4" balls.

  9. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, flatten slightly.

  10. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly brown.

  11. Cover with a glaze of confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla while still warm.
