  1. 1 Ca kidney beans -

  2. 16 oz 454g Cans)

  3. 1 Ca chickpeas

  4. 2 Garlic - minced

  5. 1 Onion - chopped (medium)

  6. 1 tablespoon 15ml Olive oil

  7. 8 oz 227g Tomato sauce

  8. 1 Whole tomatoes

  9. 1 tablespoon 15ml Oregano

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Thyme

  11. 1 teaspoon 5ml Cumin

  12. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Basil

  13. 3 tablespoons 45ml Chili powder

  1. Rinse kidney beans and chickpeas to remove salt. Set aside.

  2. Saute garlic and onion in olive oil. Add beans, chickpeas, and remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.

  3. Simmer for 20 minutes (or longer) until thick.
