  1. Creamy Gorgonzola Dressing:

  2. 2/3 cup mayonnaise

  3. 1/4 cup sour cream

  4. 1/4 cup Gogonzola cheese, crumbled

  5. 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

  6. 1 garlic clove, minced

  7. Chicken:

  8. 2 cups vegetable oil

  9. 2 pounds chicken wings

  10. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  11. 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  12. 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter

  13. 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce

  14. 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

  15. 1 small bunch watercress, washed, trimmed for garnish, optional

  1. Prepare Creamy Gorgonzola Dressing: In medium bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended.

  2. Prepare Chicken: In deep fryer or large, deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat to 375 degrees F., testing with thermometer. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken to oil and fry, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp, about 10 minutes. Remove wings with tongs and drain on paper towels. After draining, transfer wings to large bowl.

  3. In small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add hot pepper sauce and vinegar. Pour mixture over wings and toss to coat well.

  4. Arrange wings on serving platter, garnish, if desired, with watercress and serve with Creamy Gorgonzola Dressing.
