  4. 1 large green bell pepper chopped

  5. 1 large sweet red bell pepper chopped

  6. 1 cup mushrooms sliced

  7. 2 each jalapeno peppers

  8. 4 cloves garlic minced

  9. 3 tablespoons olive oil

  10. 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  11. 2 tablespoons chili powder

  12. 1 teaspoon cumin ground

  13. 1 teaspoon oregano dried

  14. 1 teaspoon paprika

  15. 1 teaspoon turmeric ground

  16. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  17. 1/2 teaspoon cardamom seeds ground

  18. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  19. 1 tablespoon molasses

  20. 1/2 cup burgundy wine

  21. 2 cans kidney beans

  22. 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)*

  1. Cook first 8 ingredients in olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until meat browns.

  2. Drain and return meat mixture to Dutch oven . Stir in cocoa and next 13 ingredients.

  3. Bring mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
