  1. 2 pounds chicken (3 breast pieces and 1 leg piece)

  2. 1/2tbsp ginger paste

  3. 1/2tbsp garlic paste

  4. 4 (black) cardamoms

  5. 3 (green) cardamoms

  6. 8 cloves

  7. 1/2tsp poppy seeds

  8. 1/2tsp cumin seeds

  9. 1/2tsp ginger (powder)

  10. 1tsp fennel seeds

  11. 1 cinnamon (stick)

  12. 1tsp coriander seeds

  13. Salt as per taste

  14. 2tsp Red chili powder

  15. 6tbsp oil

  16. 6 cups of water

  17. 1/3 cup corn flour

  18. 1 (big) onion (chopped)

  19. 1 pieces ginger (thinly sliced)

  20. 1 green chili (finely chopped)

  21. of lime (juice)

  1. Put green and black cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, poppy seeds, cumin seeds, ginger powder, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds in blender and make a fine powder

  2. Heating up 4tbsp oil in a deep bottom pan

  3. Add the chicken pieces when the oil is hot enough

  4. Add the ginger and garlic paste and mix it

  5. Put red chili powder and mix well

  6. Put salt as per taste

  7. Now add the already made masala powder

  8. Pour 6 cups of water

  9. Mix altogether well

  10. Lower the heat of the oven

  11. Cover the pan with lid

  12. Cook the chicken in the liquid for 2 hours

  13. After 2 hours the chicken are almost done

  14. To thicken the gravy makes a mixture with corn flour and water

  15. Add the mixture gently and mix it

  16. In the same time heating up 2tbsp oil in a pan

  17. Add the chopped onions and fry them till they turn golden brown

  18. Now add them with the chicken gravy

  19. Garnish it with thinly sliced ginger

  20. Sprinkle little bit of green chili pepper over it

  21. Add lime juice now

  22. Nichari is ready now

  23. Try it with tandoori roti or naan
