  1. 1/2 lb butter

  2. 1/2 cup Crisco

  3. 3 cups sugar

  4. 5 egg s

  5. 3 cups plain flour

  6. 1/2 cup milk

  7. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  8. 1/2 tsp baking soda

  9. 1/2 pint sour cream

  10. 2 tsp lemon extract

  11. zest of 1/2 lemon

  12. 2 tsp of fresh lemon juice

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Beat until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time beating after each egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well. Add extracts and fold in sour cream. Beat on low until well mixed. Pour into greased 10" tube pan.

  2. Icing:

  3. Tb cream cheese 1 Tb butter juice of ½ lemon 2 Tb lemon extract 1 box powdered sugar Cream cheese and butter together and add lemon juice and lemon extract and mix well. Blend in powdered sugar and pour over cooled cake.
