  2. 1 package white frosting mix

  3. 1/3 cup light corn syrup

  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  5. 1/2 cup boiling water

  7. 16 ounces, confectioner's sugar

  8. 1 cup chopped nuts

  1. In small mixer bowl, combine frosting mix dry, corn syrup, vanilla and boiling water.

  2. Beat on highest speed until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.

  3. Transfer to large mixer bowl. On low speed, gradually blend in sugar. Stir in nuts.

  4. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.

  5. When outside of candy feels firm, turn over.

  6. Dry at least 12 hours. Store candy in airtight container.

  7. Peppy mints :Substitute 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract for the vanilla and 1 cup crushed peppermint candy for the nuts. If you wish, tint with few drops green food color.

  8. Spanish crunch :Substitute dark corn syrup for the light and salted shelled spanish peanuts for the nuts.

  9. Candied cherry delights :Substitute 1 teaspoon almond extract for the vanilla and 1 cup chopped candied cherries for the nuts. If you wish, tint with few drops red food color.
