  1. Soya chunks 2 cups

  2. (Split) chana (gram) dal 2 tsp

  3. Chilly powder 1/2 tsp

  4. Fennel seeds 1 tsp

  5. Grated coconut 2 tsp

  6. Salt 1 tsp

  7. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

  8. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp

  9. Pepper (corns) 4 (to 5) pieces

  10. Garlic flake 1

  11. Ginger 1/2 tsp

  12. Curry leaves 6-8 pieces

  1. • Soak the soya chunks in boiled water for 5 mins and drain all the excess water, squeeze them and grind in mixy and keep it aside

  2. • Pour the spices (split gram dal, peppercorns, garlic, ginger, fennel seeds, grated coconut and cumin seeds) and grind them making smooth paste without adding water

  3. • Take a bowl and pour soya chunk mixture and add the spices (paste) and mix it well

  4. • Add salt, turmeric powder and curry leaves and make small oval shape balls

  6. • Heat 10-12 tsp of oil in a kadai

  7. • Pour the chunks and fry it both the sides till it becomes golden brown

  8. • Serve it hot with tomato ketchup
