  1. 1 Devil's food cake mix without pudding

  2. 1 Cream cheese - softened

  3. 1/3 cup 65g / 2 1/3oz Sugar

  4. 1 Egg

  5. 1 Semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Spoon batter into paper-lined cups, filling two thirds full.

  2. Combine cream cheese and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg, beating well; stir in chocolate chips. Spoon 1 heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture into the center of each cupcake.

  3. Bake for 25 minutes.

  4. Remove from pans and let cool on wire racks.

  5. Yields about 30.
