  1. (Vegetable) Ghee - 2tbsp

  2. Oil - 2tbsp

  3. Toor dal - 1/4 Cup

  4. Masoor dal - 1/4 Cup

  5. Moong dal - 1/4 Cup

  6. Chana Dal - 1/4 Cup

  7. Urad dal - 2tbsp

  8. Water (for boiling daal) - 4 (to 5 cups)

  9. Cumin seeds - 1 1/2 tbsp

  10. Bay leaves - 1

  11. red chili - 2

  12. Cloves - 5

  13. Cinnamon (stick) - 1 (large)

  14. Star anise (Badiya) - 1

  15. Cardamom - 3

  16. (Crushed) ginger 2/3tbsp

  17. (Crushed) Garlic 2/3tbsp

  18. (Crushed) green chili - 2/3tbsp

  19. Onion - 1 (large cut into small pieces)

  20. Tomatos - 1 (large cut into small pieces)

  21. Kitchen king masala - 1tbsp

  22. Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp

  23. Coriander Powder - 1/2 tbsp

  24. Red chili powder - 1/2 tbsp

  25. Chat masala - 1/2 tbsp

  26. Turmeric powder - 1/4 TSP

  27. Lime (juice) - 1tbsp

  28. Salt as per taste

  29. Kasturi Methi - 2tbsp

  30. Cilantro - (For garnishing)

  31. FOR TADKA:

  32. (Vegetable) Ghee - 1 TSP

  33. Oil - 1 TSP

  34. Coriander seeds - 1 TSP

  35. red chilies - 2

  36. Salt - (pinch)

  37. Red chili powder - 3 pinches

  38. Water

  1. Soak all daal together in warm water aroung 2-3hours.

  2. Now boil daal adding salt,turmeric powder and 1TSP of oil into it.

  3. Boil it less then 5minutes.

  4. PREAPARATION OF DAAL Take pan and add ghee and oil to it.

  5. Add Cumin seed to hot oil and let it crack.

  6. Add all whole spices to it and saute it for 30 seconds.

  7. Now add crushed ginger, garlic and green chili to it and saute it for 30 seconds.

  8. Add onion to it and some salt to fast cooking and saute it for 1 minute.

  9. Add Kitchenking masala, chat masala, garam masala. Coriander powder, red chili powder and turmeric powder to it and mix well and cook it for next 30 seconds.

  10. Now add tomatoes to it and mix well.

  11. Add boiled daal to pan now and mix everything well.

  12. Add water to it as per you want consistency of your daal.

  13. Now add lime juice, kasturi methi and salt to it and mix well and let it boil and cook for next 5 minutes.

  14. FOR TADKA Add ghee and oil to tadka pan and let it heat up properly. It should be super-hot.

  15. When it’s super-hot, add coriander seeds and dry red chilies to it.

  16. Immediately add salt, red chili powder and drops of water to it and add it to daal.

  17. Be careful while giving tadka, your red chili powder should not be burn.

  18. Now mix tadka properly with daal and add cilantro to it.

  19. serve it hot with jeera rice or plain rice.
