  1. 250ml (1 cup) salt

  2. 65ml (1/4; cup) black pepper

  3. 65ml (1/4; cup) garlic powder

  4. Olive oil, for tossing

  5. 5 sweet potatoes, peeled, sliced into 1/3 cm-thick slices, then

  6. 1/3 cm-long strips, using a crinkle cut knife

  7. Oil

  8. 1 tbsp house seasoning

  9. 1/2; tsp paprika

  1. Baked sweet potato chips Preheat oven to 220C/Gas 8.

  2. Mix the house seasoning together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

  3. Line a sheet tray with parchment. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potatoes with just enough oil to coat. Sprinkle with the house seasoning and paprika. Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, being sure not to overcrowd. Bake until the sweet potatoes are tender and golden brown, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes.

  4. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
