  1. 3 onions (chopped)

  2. 250 gm mutton (pieces)

  3. 2 tomatoes (chopped)

  4. 2/3tsp ginger (crashed)

  5. 2/3tsp garlic (crashed)

  6. 2/3tsp green chili (crashed)

  7. 1tsp curry powder

  8. 1/2tsp turmeric powder

  9. cup spinach (leaves)

  10. 1tbsp oil

  11. Water

  12. Make powder:

  13. 2 red chilies

  14. 10 black peppers

  15. 1tbsp coriander seeds

  16. 1tsp cumin seeds

  17. 1 cardamom

  18. 3 cloves

  19. 1 cinnamon (stick)

  1. Heating up 1tbsp oil in the pressure cooker

  2. Put the chopped onions along with salt in the oil

  3. Fry the onions till golden brown color

  4. Add the ginger, garlic and green chili paste

  5. Add the chopped tomatoes

  6. Mix altogether well

  7. Cook till the raw smell of ginger and garlic goes and the tomatoes are mashed up

  8. Now make a powder with red chilies, black pepper, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon

  9. Put the powder masala and mix very well

  10. Add the curry powder and turmeric powder and mix it

  11. Fry for a minute

  12. Now add the mutton pieces and mix very well with the masala

  13. Cooked for few minutes till the oil is separated from the masala

  14. Now add the chopped spinach leaves

  15. Pour 2 cups of water and mix well

  16. Now cover the pressure cooker and cook the mutton till 4-5 whistles (cook on high flame)

  17. Palak mutton masala is ready to be served

  18. Try it with bread, roti or naan
