  1. Mutton pieces - 1/2 kg

  2. Basmati rice - 2 1/2 cup

  3. Onion (Big) - 2

  4. Tomato (ripe) - 4

  5. Green chillies - 6

  6. Chilli powder - 5g

  7. Oil - 1/2 cup

  8. Ghee (clarified butter) - 1/4 cup

  9. Mint leaves - 1/2cup

  10. Coriander leaves - 1/2cup

  11. Curd (yoghurt) - 1 cup

  12. Salt - 2 tsp

  13. Ginger garlic paste - 4 tsp

  14. To paste:

  15. Cinnamon - 2

  16. Cardamom - 10

  17. Cloves - 2

  1. Wash and soak rice for ½ an hour.

  2. Slice the onion and tomato and Slit green chillies.

  3. Paste the ingredients given above.

  4. In a heavy bottomed pan, add oil and sauté sliced onions, green chillies.

  5. After it is cooked, add ghee and cook till all the moisture is removed.

  6. Add Ginger garlic paste, pasted masala, tomato, curd, chilli powder and salt and allow it on the flame till the mutton pieces are cooked.

  7. When it is cooked properly, add 2 glasses of water.

  8. When it boils, add the rice and mix. When all the water is absorbed keep the flame in sim.

  9. Cook in dum
